A Disability services is in need of Care Assistants to work in one of their disability units in Dublin South. Candidates must have acquired the following qualifications but not limited to:

• FETAC Level 5 Major Award in a caring/ID related subject (8 modules must be completed to get a major award)

• Or  BA in Applied Social Studies/Applied Social Care (or equivalent)

• Or  Current student of BSc in Nursing

• Or  Current student of BA in Applied Social Studies/Applied Social Care (or equivalent)

 

Desirable criteria:

• Minimum 1 years’ experience supporting people with an intellectual disability

• Knowledge of HIQA regulations and HSE policies Moving on from Congregated Settings and New Directions

• Commitment to a person-centred approach, community inclusion and the individual needs of the person

• Full, clean drivers licence and willingness to drive as part of role

• Willingness to work as part of a team

• Experience of working and communicating with families

• Excellent communication skills

• Flexibility regarding working hours
